The buzz word at the moment is Content Management Systems (CMS). But do all business need a CMS?
Small sites, which are rarely updated, are usually best set up using a static file system maintained by R2 Dzigns. A site with frequent (weekly or monthly) changes can be edited by the site owner using Macromedia Dreamweaver. Or the site owner may opt to use a CMS taking advantage of the web-based WYSIWYG editor, which requires no expert coding knowledge. Large sites with frequently changing content are more suited towards being database-driven. They may also requirements for numerous editors to be able to add (and self publish) content. These types of sites are best suited towards using a CMS taking advantage of the web-based WYSIWYG editor, which requires no expert coding knowledge. What type of CMS do we build? For static sites, we build and deploy these sites using templates compatible with, Macromedia Dreamweaver. We can also train people in the use of these programs for site maintenance, or recommend advanced training through accredited agencies. We can build simple or complex content management systems for deployment on Unix web servers. We do not work with Microsoft FrontPage.
